Frequently Asked Questions

Updated June 2020

Q: Are we using the Jag Card coupon books to fundraise this year?
A: No, we will not be selling Jag Cards this season.  This a significant loss to this season’s fundraising.  Please consider this loss of funding when deciding your level of support for membership and ads.

Q: What if football doesn’t happen this season?  What if there is reduced game attendance?  Will I get a refund for my membership, ads, and/or sponsorship?
A: We are planning on a full 2020 season!  However, if the season is canceled whole or in part, we do not have the ability to issue refunds.  We will produce our media guide regardless if football games canceled.

Q: We are new to Berry/Spain Park this season and not sure how the media guide looks, or how I should design my personal ad.  Do you have some examples?
A: Yes, you can view last year’s Media Guide by clicking HERE.

Q: Should I fill-out the online membership form or the ad form first?
A: It is recommended that the membership form be filled-out first to determine your ad credit before filling-out the ad form.  You can also fill-out the ad form only if you choose not to be a Gridiron Club member this season (see below).

Q: I don’t want a membership, but I do want an ad.  Do I need to fill-out the membership form?
A: No, you can start directly with the ad form.

Q: I don’t know any businesses right now that may want an ad. Is there someone that can give me contact info for a business to contact that usually buys an ad?
A: Yes, we can provide you with the contact information for businesses that may want an ad.  Please direct all ads questions email at spfootballprogramads@gmail.com

Q: Where do I get the electronic file to upload for my ad if it’s a business and they don’t have one?
The designer of our media guide (Digital Sports Consulting – DSC) can help with the ad or design.  Please contact DSC at team@digitalsportsconsulting.com as soon as possible if you require assistance.

Q: Can I save the forms and come back later to finish, pay, or submit my ad artwork?

Q: How do I know how much to pay?  Will the forms total for me?
A: Since there are many options for credits, ads, and membership, you will need to total your order for the payment due amount.  Please double check your total and don’t forget to subtract your ad credits from the total if you selected a Gridiron Club Membership.

Q: Is my credit card information secure?
A: You can use MySchoolFees or fill-out your VISA credit card information on the online payment form.  MySchoolFees is secured by Hoover City Schools.  Your VISA card number will be stored on a secure form only accessible by the Gridiron Club Board of Directors.  Same as past years, we will run all VISA payments through the Athletic Office’s credit card machine since MySchoolFees does not currently accept VISA.  Payment by check is also available; please contact the email addresses provided for ads and membership questions.

Q: In previous years, I’ve submitted my forms and payment at the Spain Park Athletic Office.  Can I drop-off forms and payments at Spain Park?
A: No.  The Athletic Office is closed and unavailable for drop-off or pickup of any forms or payments.  If you need to drop-off payment or forms, please contact the provided email addresses.

Q: Can I send the forms and payments to school/practice with my child?
A: No.  All forms and payments should be sent using the online forms.  You may contact the provided email addresses for ads and memberships if you want to submit the paper forms and/or mail a check.

Q: In previous years, payment plans were available for Gridiron Club Memberships.  Are payment plans available this season?
A: Due to the shortened timeframe associated with this unprecedented period, payment plans are not available this season.

Q: What are my fundraising donations used for?
A: It takes a great deal of financial support to have a successful program.  For example, Gridiron Club funds are used for a wide-range of items such as weight room upkeep and upgrades, protein, new equipment and reconditioning, charter buses, pre-game and road post-game meals for freshmen, JV, and Varsity, filming, team activities, and so much more.  If you ever have any questions, comments, or suggestions please contact any member of the Gridiron Leadership (listed on www.spainparkfootball.com) and we would appreciate the opportunity to share with you!
